You must be fully registered with the UNO Counseling and Career Center Opportunities Database in order to access these services. Full registration requires that you upload a résumé. If you have already registered, please make certain you are active in system. If you have not registered, please visit our Registration pages when ready to do so.
Please download and complete complete the INSCOPE application form in its entirety. Once completed, return the form to the UNO Counseling and Career Center (112 Human Performance Center [HPC]).
A copy of the offer letter from the prospective employer must be submitted with the application form. The offer letter must indicate the start and ending date for the internship, amount paid per hour, location of internship (city and state), and hours per week expected to work (up to 35). The offer letter should be on official company letterhead and must include all contact information for the employer (contact name, address, email address, phone number). Your employer should follow the format on the Employers INSCOPE Information page for the offer letter. Please note that offer letters not including all requested information will be denied.
All students using Curricular Practical Training (CPT) Authorization for INSCOPE internship opportunities MUST be enrolled in a cooperative education course for the semester in which they are working. Failure to enroll in the course will result in immediate revocation of CPT Authorization. Your transcript will show that you were enrolled in the course which must match each semester that your I-20 is stamped for CPT Authorization.

Cooperative Education for Engineering Majors - COEN 1
Please note if for some reason your position is not approved for INSCOPE, you can either drop the course or remain enrolled if you are actively seeking an internship throughout the semester.
Once documentation is received from you as indicated above, you will receive instructions via email on how to complete your enrollment in the INSCOPE Program. The UNO Counseling and Career Center will coordinate the signing of your CPT Authorization and will email you once your paperwork is ready to be picked-up. Please plan for a 7-10 day turnaround for all new INSCOPE placements. Please follow all directions as indicated on those forms and return original copies of any agreements by mail to the UNO Counseling and Career Center.
